Saturday, June 21st

Most people slept in this morning. That was a nice treat after getting up at 5:30 for one or two weeks! 

Papa Dave and Doug got up earlier to get some pie and coffee for breakfast at Yoder's. 

The crew was out and about, running errands this morning. 

Darrell, Ladina, Emily, David, Jenna, Ellie, Papa Dave, and Grandma Rose went to the Big Cat place that Ellie, Papa Dave, and Ladina went to this past winter. But there was no show going on. It was very hot out, with lots of people, so we didn't stay long. But took a quick look around at the interesting animals! 

Funny how the only pictures Emily took there were of goats, not of the more exciting lions, tigers, and bears they had there. This picture is for Emily Jean! :)

Two Sandhill Cranes

Stopped at Detweiler's for some more 50 cent ice cream. Papa Dave and David stopped separately since they rode bike to the Big Cat show that had no show. Two scoops of ice cream for David and Papa Dave at 50 cents per scoop was actually $1.07 because of tax. Neither Papa Dave nor David had any chane, and they didn't want to break a dollar, so Papa Dave told David to look around on the floor for a dime. Sure enough, he found one. David is truly the change scavenger. He would stop to pick up pennies on his bike on the way down here. 

Went to Ledo beach again tonight. 

Had fun in the water, making sandcastles, looking for shells, and racing from the shore to Papa Dave in the water tonight.
