June 26th

A Legoland water park day for the family of six!

Woke up, got ready, and were in the park by 10AM today. Made up for getting there too late for our liking (11AM) yesterday.

Got into the park and headed straight for the island in the air ride, where we could see the whole park. We didn't get a chance to do that yesterday.

What a lovely view

That's better

From where I stand... (sit, as standing is not allowed on this ride)

Then we ran over to do two of the roller coasters before the lines got too long.

Next we claimed a good spot under an umbrella at the waterpark around 11:30 before the afternoon crowd came.

We headed straight for the slides, before the lines would get long in the afternoon. There were a set of three that were very tall, and two of them were super steep. All the four kids went on the steep ones, even Ellie. David and Jenna went on them the most. One time they counted the steps; there were 108. They figured that because of that, they had gone up over 1000 steps today!

Mom talked to a lifeguard; Yesterday's heat index was 110 degrees. It was probably close to that again today.

The kids soak zone was also a hit.

Eating lunch

Ellie and Darrell left the waterpark during the busy afternoon to do the roller coasters again and watch a funny show. Everyone else joined them to watch the ski show again at 5:00.

After the show, we quickly walked through the cypress gardens section before it closed at 5:30.

This is all 1 tree. It's called a Banyan Tree.

See the turtle?

Then we jumped on a few more rides before the park closed.

Stopped at a Wendy's for dinner around 7:30 PM. Drove back to Sarasota, and went to bed. Grandma Rose, Papa Dave, and Aunt Janie were excited to hear about the adventures!

This is what David does at Wendy's.

They had kept working on the house, but like Grandma Rose said, weren't going to sit around doing nothing fun just because  we weren't there!

They went out to a Mexican place and had all you can eat enchiladas. They also changed the refrigerator handle around, which was pretty exciting.

Time here is winding down.
