Interesting Signs

The bikers have been experiencing many interesting sights, sounds, and smells, as they are cruising along at 13 or 14 mph. Gives them time to observe more fully! But they've found a couple very interesting (and funny) signs along the road.

Towards the beginning of the trip, they saw a billboard with this quote, "A nation of sheep begets a government of wolves."
Thought provoking, and very true.

Another quote we saw somewhere and agreed with was, "If it can change your mind, it can change your life."

Here's a funny one: saw a couple of these: "DRAW BRIDGE AHEAD"
Darrell goes, "I would if I had a pen and paper."

Papa Dave was in the lead and saw this billboard. He stopped to take a picture of it because he thought it was really cool. He had seen the picture of the biker and the part about "fast, painless, relief" and thought he would take a picture of that cool sign. Then Emily came along and as she passed him, called out, "Why are you taking a picture of a sign about Hemorrhoids?"
Papa Dave thought that was just so mean of Emily to mess up his good picture. "Well, who reads the titles anyway!?"

See "Day 8 ~ June 13 ~ Longest Day Yet!" Post for some South if the Border sign shenanigans.

We've seen a couple signs detailing that drivers are only allowed to pass when the solid yellow line is not on their side. Apparently that rule is not as easy to remember down here.

There was a stone in front of this sign. Found this at our KOA.

We found these pool rules quite funny!

So every time we cross into a new county, there are these really strict intimidating littering signs. "KEEP such and such COUNTY CLEAN!"
"LITTERING FINE: UP TO $1000 OR PRISON"
We came across  a mattress laying on the side of the road. We figured whoever littered that would likely get the death penalty. David was trying to figure out how we could all carry it, so we could bail that person out. It was a pretty nice mattress, except a little soggy on the bottom.

Saw a sign at Mabel's restaurant in Sumterville that said something like, "If you are grouchy, irritable, or just plain mean, there will be a $10 charge for putting up with you."
